Three boards, one state

Alabama opens its 2026 season this week. Recruit Intel built three verified boards for the state: the best player at every position, the recruits holding real Division 1 offers with no star rating anywhere, and the programs producing the most offers. Every number below comes from our canonical database and is stated with the sample it rests on.

The best at every position

One player per position slot, classes 2027 through 2029. These ten hold 304 verified Division 1 offers between them. Offer counts are distinct college offers, re-verified against the current roster on 2026-08-18.

  • QB, Trent Seaborn, Thompson (Alabaster), class of 2027. Committed to Alabama, 38 verified offers. Threw for 3,692 yards and 35 touchdowns over 14 games in 2025.
  • RB, CJ Cowley, Hoover (Hoover), class of 2027. 26 verified offers. Ran for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns over 7 games in 2025.
  • WR, Deshawn Hall, Prattville (Prattville), class of 2027. Committed to Auburn, 35 verified offers. Caught 40 passes for 660 yards and 5 touchdowns over 10 games in 2025.
  • TE, Beau Mims, Oxford (Oxford), class of 2028. 1 verified offer. Caught 9 passes for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns over 7 games in 2025.
  • OL, Samuel Bailey, Mae Jemison (Huntsville), class of 2028. 31 verified offers.
  • DL, Keoni Snipes, Saraland (Saraland), class of 2028. 57 verified offers, the most of any player on this board.
  • LB, Ellis McGaskin, Williamson (Mobile), class of 2027. Committed to Florida, 41 verified offers. Recorded 160 tackles with 26 tackles for loss and 4 sacks over 13 games in 2025.
  • CB, Kylen Johnson, Coosa Christian (Gadsden), class of 2028. 18 verified offers.
  • S, Jaylen Scott, Williamson (Mobile), class of 2027. Committed to Oklahoma, 36 verified offers. Recorded 104 tackles and 5 interceptions over 12 games in 2025.
  • ATH, Braden Gordon, The Montgomery Academy (Montgomery), class of 2027. Committed to Georgia Tech, 21 verified offers.

Two names carry the board. Keoni Snipes holds 57 offers as a 2028 edge rusher, the highest total here and a year younger than most of the committed seniors around him. Trent Seaborn threw for 3,692 yards and 35 touchdowns in a 14 game season and is committed to Alabama.

The recruits the rankings have not caught

These ten hold 68 verified Division 1 offers between them and carry zero stars on 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN as of 2026-08-18. That is the whole claim. It is a ratings gap, not a discovery claim: the programs recruiting these players found them long before we listed them. The board is classes 2028 and 2029.

Quinton Johnson Jr. is the sharpest case on the board. He caught 41 passes for 548 yards and 3 touchdowns over 11 games and holds 5 Division 1 offers, and not one of the four services has assigned him a star.

The programs producing the offers

Recruit Intel ranked the state's top 10 high schools by offer production across the 2023 through 2026 classes, the sum of verified Division 1 offers held by their recent recruits. Across those 10 schools sit 120 recruits holding 1,029 offers between them.

  8. Thompson (Alabaster): 87 offers across 14 recruits
  9. Gulf Shores (Gulf Shores): 83 offers across 6 recruits
  10. Theodore (Theodore): 73 offers across 7 recruits

Hoover leads the state with 152 offers across 16 recruits. Volume is not the whole story. Gulf Shores carries 83 offers across just 6 recruits and Theodore 73 across 7, the two highest offer-per-recruit rates in the top 10, which points to a small number of heavily recruited prospects rather than broad depth.

How we counted

Every number here comes from the Recruit Intel canonical database. Offer counts are distinct college offers per player rather than raw offer rows. Production lines are season totals from game level box scores, and each one states the number of games it covers, because a per game rate built on a short sample is not a season.

Star status was re-derived live from all five rating columns at 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN, and every player on the unrated board returned zero at all four services. A set of candidates whose entire offer list came from a single source inside a two day window, with no corroboration, was routed out before these boards were set, and known duplicate and wrong-school records were filtered out of the totals. Every named player was re-verified against the current roster on 2026-08-18 and pinned to a single database record by id, because a common name can return many separate records across the country.
