Pooled across 2-star and 3-star prospects, the two lowest rated tiers in the data, an official visit converts to a commitment or signing at 33.8% (3,843 of 11,376) against 14.3% (1,676 of 11,720) for an unofficial visit, 2.4 times the rate. For a 5-star, the two visit types convert at the same rate.
