Three boards, one region

Metro Atlanta opens its 2026 season this week, the first region in the country to kick off. Recruit Intel built three verified boards for it: the programs producing the most Division 1 offers, the best player at every position, and the recruits holding real offers with no star rating anywhere. Every number below comes from our canonical database and is stated with the sample it rests on.

The best at every position

One player per position slot, classes 2027 through 2029. These ten hold 351 verified Division 1 offers between them. Offer counts are distinct college offers, and commitments were re-verified against the current roster on 2026-08-12.

  • QB, CJ Cypher, Carrollton (Carrollton), class of 2029. Committed to Miami, 32 verified offers. Threw for 2,178 yards and 26 touchdowns over 14 games in 2025.
  • RB, Kevin Hartsfield, Newton (Covington), class of 2028. 48 verified offers, the most of any player on this board. Ran for 1,302 yards and 12 touchdowns over 10 games in 2025.
  • WR, Rashaad Silver, Columbia (Decatur), class of 2027. Committed to Arkansas, 35 verified offers.
  • TE, Xevien Brinson, Arabia Mountain (Lithonia), class of 2028. 36 verified offers. Caught 30 passes for 469 yards and 4 touchdowns over 8 games in 2025.
  • OL, KD Jones, Grayson (Loganville), class of 2027. Committed to Kansas, 35 verified offers.
  • DL, KJ Green, Stephenson (Stone Mountain), class of 2027. Committed to LSU, 47 verified offers.
  • LB, Drew Williams, Sequoyah (Canton), class of 2027. Committed to Kentucky, 39 verified offers. Recorded 5.0 sacks over 10 games in 2025.
  • CB, Omarion Wallace, Newton (Covington), class of 2027. Committed to Pittsburgh, 24 verified offers.
  • S, Kamarui Dorsey, Hampton (Hampton), class of 2027. Committed to Texas A&M, 28 verified offers.
  • ATH, Anthony Flournoy, Lithonia (Lithonia), class of 2028. 27 verified offers.

Two names are worth pausing on. Kevin Hartsfield carries 48 offers as a 2028, more than any committed senior on the board, and he did it while producing 1,302 rushing yards in a 10 game sample. CJ Cypher is a 2029 who is already committed to Miami with 32 offers in hand, which is early even by Metro Atlanta standards.

The recruits the rankings have not caught

These ten hold 86 verified Division 1 offers between them and carry zero stars on 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN as of 2026-08-12. That is the whole claim. It is a ratings gap, not a discovery claim: the programs recruiting these players found them long before we listed them.

  9. Pierson Degala, QB, Roswell (Roswell), 2028. 5 offers.
  10. Noah Mahoney, WR, Stephenson (Stone Mountain), 2028. 5 offers. 29 receptions for 519 yards and 6 touchdowns over 10 games in 2025.

Noah Mahoney is the sharpest case on the board. He put up 519 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in a 10 game season and holds 5 Division 1 offers, and not one recruiting service has assigned him a star rating.

The programs producing the offers

Recruit Intel ranked the region top 15 high schools by current-roster offer production, the sum of verified Division 1 offers held by every recruit on the roster in the 2027 through 2030 classes. Across those 15 schools sit 234 recruits holding 3,990 Division 1 offers between them, an average of about 17 offers per recruited player.

  7. Sandy Creek (Tyrone): 241 offers across 11 recruits
  8. Milton (Alpharetta): 239 offers across 13 recruits
  9. Creekside (Fairburn): 221 offers across 14 recruits
  10. Westlake (Atlanta): 178 offers across 13 recruits
  11. Carrollton (Carrollton): 176 offers across 10 recruits
  12. Cartersville (Cartersville): 169 offers across 7 recruits
  13. Woodward Academy (College Park): 161 offers across 8 recruits
  14. Lithonia (Lithonia): 160 offers across 12 recruits
  15. Newton (Covington): 152 offers across 12 recruits

Grayson leads the region on raw volume by a wide margin, with 639 Division 1 offers spread across 41 recruits, more than 200 clear of any other program. Buford follows at 422 offers across 22 recruits.

Volume is not the whole story. Cartersville carries 169 offers across just 7 recruits, and Sandy Creek carries 241 across 11, the two highest offer-per-recruit rates in the top 15, both above 21 offers for every recruited player. That points to a small number of heavily recruited prospects rather than broad depth.

How we counted

Every number here comes from the Recruit Intel canonical database. Offer counts are distinct college offers per player rather than raw offer rows. Production lines are season totals from game level box scores, and each one states the number of games it covers, because a per game rate built on a two game sample is not a season.

The school board was certified on 2026-07-31. All 241 candidate players were live-verified and attributed to their school at the city level, primary source the 247Sports prospect profile, secondary the MaxPreps career page. Seven defect rows were removed before these totals were set, subtracting 7 players and 48 offers from a raw 241 players and 4,038 offers: duplicate records, players who had transferred out of the region, and players who fell outside the 2027 through 2030 window. Wrong-school rows were only ever subtracted from the school they were wrongly attached to, never silently moved.

Every player named in the position board and the unrated board was re-verified against the current roster on 2026-08-12, including class year, school, offer count and star status at all four major services. Common names were resolved to a single record by school and class before anything was published, which matters more than it sounds: one name on the position board returns twelve separate records in our database across five states.
