Two boards, one region

Savannah and the Georgia coast, from Pooler and Richmond Hill to the islands, opens its 2026 season this week. Recruit Intel built two verified boards for the region: the best player at every position and the programs producing the most Division 1 offers. Every number below comes from our canonical database and is stated with the sample it rests on. Savannah is its own Recruit Intel region, carved out of the larger South Georgia map so the coastal programs are measured against each other rather than lost inside the state. That is why Benedictine and Calvary Day sit at the top of these boards.

The best at every position

One player per position slot across the 2027 through 2029 classes. These nine hold 136 verified Division 1 offers between them. Offer counts are distinct college offers, re-verified against the current roster on 2026-08-19.

Offensive lineman Jordan Dillon of Effingham County (Springfield) leads the board with 30 verified offers and a Georgia Tech commitment, and corner Emerson Lewis (Calvary Day School) is right behind at 29 offers, committed to Maryland. Running back Stanley Smart of Benedictine holds 24 offers and a Virginia Tech pledge. Two slots go to production over volume: quarterback Gunner Mobley and linebacker Jaylon Deal, both of Richmond Hill, hold their spots on the field rather than the offer sheet. The region's offer-holding pool had no qualifying tight end this cycle, so the board runs nine deep.

The programs producing the offers

Recruit Intel ranked the region's top 6 high schools by offers produced across their 2023 through 2026 classes. Across those 6 schools sit 23 recruits holding 191 Division 1 offers between them, an average of about 8 offers per recruited player.

Benedictine Military School dominates the region with 107 offers across 9 recruits, more than the other five programs combined. Calvary Day School follows at 33 offers across 5 recruits.

How we counted

Every number here comes from the Recruit Intel canonical database, from live reads on 2026-08-19. Offer counts are distinct college offers per player rather than raw offer rows, sourced from 247Sports, On3 and verified social, with MaxPreps the source of record for production. Every player named on the position board was resolved to a single database record by its id before publish, then checked against the current roster for class year, school, offer count and star status at all four major services. Common names return many separate records in our database, so we never match on a name and school alone.

The position board is the best player at each slot across the 2027 through 2029 classes, ranked on a blend of on-field production and offers, with offensive and defensive linemen ranked on offers alone because linemen do not accumulate box-score statistics. A skill slot whose regional pool carries no recorded production this cycle is ranked on offers alone as well, which is why a low-offer name can still hold its slot on production. The region did not field a separate unrated board this cycle: too few zero-star, offer-holding 2028 and 2029 players cleared the bar to fill one, and we do not pad a board to hit a number. The producer board counts every offer-holder at each school across the 2023 through 2026 classes.
