NorCal opens its 2026 season this week. Recruit Intel tracks 375 high schools across the Bay Area, Sacramento and Northern California, and what follows is the whole region in one place: the best player at every position, the recruits holding real offers with no star rating anywhere, and the programs actually producing Division 1 talent. Every number is stated with the sample it rests on.
Quarterback
Brody Rudnicki, Folsom, class of 2027, is committed to California with 19 verified offers. Josiah Boyd at Vista del Lago (Folsom) is the 2028 to know, a four-star carrying 12 offers and still uncommitted. Cole Stephens at San Ramon Valley (Danville) is committed to Lehigh with 5 offers and no star rating from any service, which is its own kind of signal.
The 2029 worth writing down is William Orr at Junipero Serra (San Mateo). Three offers already, and he posted a production percentile in the 79th among quarterbacks in our database.
Running back
Jeovanni Henley, Junipero Serra, class of 2027, holds 20 verified offers and is committed to California. Duece Jones-Drew at De La Salle (Concord) is a UCLA commit with 11 offers. EJ Coleman at Folsom is committed to Washington State, also on 11.
Serra and Folsom appearing twice each in the first two position groups is not an accident. It is the shape of the whole region, and the producers board below explains why.
Wide receiver
Malakai Taufoou at Junipero Serra leads the position with 24 verified offers and an Oregon commitment. Rob Larson at Folsom holds 20 offers and is committed to UCLA. Damari Dean, a 2028 at De La Salle, already carries 10 offers.
Tight end
Rahzario Edwards at Grant Union (Sacramento) is the highest-offered tight end in the region at 28 verified offers, a four-star committed to California. Jace Cannon at Junipero Serra is a USC commit on 23. Landon Miller, a 2028 at De La Salle, is a four-star holding 19.
Offensive line
Jeremiah Williams at Hayward is the one to sit with. He holds 28 verified offers and carries zero stars on 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN. Twenty-eight programs have decided he can play and not one service has rated him.
Lemani Fehoko at Junipero Serra is committed to Minnesota with 19 offers. Apisai Fifita, a 2028 at St. Francis (Mountain View), also holds 19.
Defensive line
King Pitts at Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa) is the most recruited player in this preview at 48 verified offers, a four-star 2028 committed to Texas. Troy Bowens at Sutter is a four-star California commit on 17 offers, and his production percentile is the 98th among defensive linemen we track. Giovanni Hodge at Grant Union is a third California commit on 16.
Linebacker
Julian Bruno, a 2028 at Grant Union, leads with 24 verified offers. Isaiah Grant at Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco) holds 20 and sits at the 100th production percentile among linebackers in our database, the highest mark of any player in this article. Dylan Modena at Junipero Serra is a UNLV commit on 11.
Cornerback
Jordan Slye Jr., a 2028 at Salesian (Richmond), holds 22 verified offers. Prince Staten at McClymonds (Oakland) also holds 22 and is committed to UNLV. Detrich Burks, a 2028 at San Ramon Valley, carries 18.
Safety
This is the thinnest position in the region and we are going to say so rather than dress it up. Uatesoni Pifeleti at St. Francis (Mountain View) holds 9 verified offers, the most of any NorCal safety in our data, and we hold his school attribution under an open internal review, so treat the school line as provisional. Jeremiah Edwards at Pittsburg and Latana Koniseti at Grant Union each hold 4.
Athlete
Adrian Barnett at The King's Academy (Sunnyvale) is committed to Washington State with 22 verified offers. His teammate Jaiden Flores is committed to San Diego State on 20. Kenneth Ward, a 2028 at Pittsburg, holds 17 and sits at the 75th production percentile.
The watch list: 10 recruits the rankings have not caught
These ten hold 53 verified Division 1 offers between them and carry zero stars on 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN as of 2026-08-13. That is the entire claim. It is a ratings gap, not a discovery claim: the programs recruiting these players found them long before we listed them. Scope is class 2028, plus class 2029 only where the player has recorded production.

The gem list, and why it is one name
Our gem model flags unrated, unoffered players it believes will not stay that way. As of this week a NorCal player only appears here publicly if he clears a hard evidence bar: at least three games of recorded statistics and at least one of those games against an opponent we can identify and rate. Most of the region's flagged players do not clear it yet, because the season just started and their game data has not landed.
Exactly one NorCal player clears it today. Jamar Lincoln, quarterback, Marin Catholic (Kentfield), class of 2028, carries zero stars and zero offers with four games of recorded production, all four against opponents we can identify. That is the whole public gem list for this region right now, and we would rather publish one name that clears the bar than ten that do not.
The programs producing the offers
Ranked by current-roster offer production, the sum of verified Division 1 offers held by every recruit on the roster in the 2027 through 2030 classes. These ten programs account for 1,106 verified offers.

Folsom leads on volume and on breadth, 223 offers spread across 26 recruited players. Junipero Serra is the more concentrated program at 177 across 21, and it placed a player in five of the ten position groups above, more than any other school in the region.
How we counted
Every number comes from the Recruit Intel canonical database, read on 2026-08-13. Offer counts are distinct college offers per player, not raw offer rows, and quarantined rows are excluded. Production percentiles are position-normalized across our verified database. Star status is zero only when it is zero on all four services, checked at read time.
Region membership is every school we classify as NorCal, Bay Area or Sacramento, 375 schools in total. Every player named here was re-verified against the current roster for class year, school, offer count and star status, and players sharing a name were resolved to a single record before publication rather than by name matching.
One disclosure on the safety group: the top player by offer volume attends a school with an open attribution review in our database, and we have said so in that section rather than quietly leaving him out or quietly leaving him in.
